About us

Fiore is an Italian restaurant and bakery in East Kensington, Philadelphia, from chef-owners Ed Crochet and Justine MacNeil. Open Wednesday through Monday for breakfast and lunch, their menu reflects Ed and Justine's deep love of Italy, from its home kitchens to humble and age-old cooking methods.

Justine's often-changing pastry selection showcases regional Italian baked goods rarely found stateside — including a chocolate and semolina crostata, torta al pistacchio made with pistachio flour, budino di riso, torta della nonna, and fiocco di neve.

Breakfast and lunch at Fiore feature seasonal salads, sandwiches on freshly baked rolls and focaccia (including the Saltie and the B.E.C.), and Roman-style pizzas. Ed's handmade pastas anchor the savory lunch menu with rotating dishes like gnocchi all'amatriciana, beet and poppy seed mezzaluna, and malloreddus with pork and saffron ragù.

Fiore originally opened in Philly's Queen Village neighborhood in 2019. After a celebrated four-year run, they relocated to a more intimate space on Frankford Avenue, within the neighborhood where they live.

She continued the excellent standards of one of New York City's finest Italian restaurants for the next three years, creating an in-house bread program and intricate chocolate work.

Justine's pastry and bread program at Fiore is inspired by regional Italian pasticceria, prioritizing Italian baking traditions and pastries rarely seen stateside. In 2026, she was named a James Beard Foundation Semifinalist and Nominee for Outstanding Pastry Chef or Baker.
